If anybody want, can chose a horseback ride but in that case it will take\u00a02.5 hours on horseback riding and 1 hour on foot for reaching the lodge area. While staying at this purest Rainforest Lodge, you will get opportunity to learn and understand the rainforest with naturalist guides, can enjoy swimming in crystalline jungle waterfalls, or can also enjoy solitary time and bird watching from the hammock on the balcony.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The Meals:<\/span><\/h3>\n

Rara Avis Rainforest Lodge and Reserve <\/a>offers three healthy country-style Costa Rican meals \u00a0including chicken or meat, salad, rice, black beans, fresh fruit beverage and vegetables. Each day you will enjoy this meals as a part of basic charge. You can ask for special menu but should request in advance. At the dining room you can enjoy coffee or hot chocolate at anytime. Meals offered here are all in family style.<\/span><\/p>\n

Casitas are ideal for the budget travelers, group of students or friends, scientist researchers and bird watchers. These Casitas are rustic, basic but well equipped with two room cabins with one bathroom, two bunk beds and also a small porch. As the surrounding is home to a huge number of birds, these Casitas are really superb site for bird watching. There are 3 cabins that can be accommodated by 12 person together at double occupancy, 18 at triple and 24 at quadruple occupancy.<\/span><\/p>\n

Waterfall Lodge:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

People who want more comfort, they can chose the Waterfall Lodge which are nestled just 200 meters from the spectacular double waterfall. In that place if you find the weather good enough, you can enjoy swimming at the base of waterfalls. In the waterfall lodge, you will find basic but comfortable eight rooms and each of those rooms has a wrap-around balcony where you can spend some relaxing time as well as can enjoy the beauty of the surrounding. These rooms include\u00a0double bed, private bathroom, a single and one bunk or loft bed.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Every night for 3 to 4 hours you will get electricity facility in only the dining room and the lodge office. There you can get help from the staff for making your electrical devices recharged.<\/span><\/p>\n

Biodiversity:<\/span><\/h3>\n

The lodge area is very isolated and far from the civilized society. It’s high in its diversity which attracts many tourists each year. It was developed with the mission that the rain forest can be productive without making any alteration to the nature. Nestled in a remote pristine jungle with true wilderness and bordering Braulio Carrillo National Park and Zona Protectora La Selva, Rara\u00a0Avis Rainforest Lodge & Reserve is home to\u00a0no less than 367 species \u00a0of birds and also many other wild animals such as groups of animals such as mammals, amphibians and reptiles.<\/span><\/p>\n
