While staying at El Manantial Lodge, you will enjoy beautiful mountain view and many other facilities that the lodge offers. The surrounding area is home to over 200 species of birds including hummingbirds, tanagers and resplendent quetzals. It takes only hours from San Jose to reach the lodge.\u00a0<\/span><!--more--><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Way to the Lodge:<\/span><\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Start from the\u00a0San Gerardo de Dota, Carretera Interamericana KM 80, 200 mts south from the School and then you will have to take the\u00a0Southern Iteramerican Road (towards the South-Panama, then you will have to pass by Cartago. Then start going until you\u00a0reach the km # 80 where you will find\u00a0Yellow Markers called \u201cMojones\u201d that have the #km. After passing a famous restaurant\u00a0\u201cChespiritos # 3\u201d set in front\u00a0\u00a0of the \u201cLos Quetzales National Park\u201d before reaching the Km.#.80. When you will find\u00a0\u00a0a sign with \u201cSan Gerardo\u201d on it, right beside other signs form other Lodges, among them \u201cEl Manantial\u201d Logo. From there you will have to take a right and start going down about 9 km. In a semi paved road you will find the \u00a0\u00a0Lodge sign after about 6 km and then go on for tree more. From the\u00a0\u00a0Interamerican Road, the lodge is\u00a09 km away on\u00a0your right side\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Facilities:<\/span><\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.costaricajourneys.com\/el-manantial-lodge-mountain-lodge\/\">El Manantial Lodge<\/a> is known for its warm hospitality. It offers simple, clean, comfortable private rooms with hot showers, free WiFi connection and also get the opportunity to relax in steam and clay baths. Each room is constructed with wooden floor and also has large windows which give them a rustic feel. In its property area you will find a small pond that remains stocked with trout and any fish that caught can be bought back to the lodge and cooked. In El Manantial Lodge, you will find a large hall that is surrounded by windows and it is an ideal place for practicing Yoga or other indoor activities and events. In the lodge restaurant you can enjoy delicious local meals that are healthy. Usually the restaurant offers food that is traditional Costa Rican and vegetarian. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Activities:<\/span><\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">El Manantial Lodge is run by an enthusiastic owner and while staying in this lodge, you will get opportunity to enjoy the rural life of Costa Rica. From the central lodge, while you will on the trails, you can get the chance to easily explore the nearby wilderness and after a day on the trails you can have the staff fire up the steam bath and spend some time unwinding.\u00a0A three-hour hike leads to an impressive waterfall, and there you can also enjoy\u00a0\u00a0riding horses through the forest.
