Since 18 years,\u00a0in the heart of the South Caribbean coast of Costa Rica,\u00a0this lodge is\u00a0preserving it\u2019s own eco system of wildlife and offering eco-friendly accommodations. For reaching the lodge, it takes only 4 hours from San Jose and\u00a0 and\u00a06 kilometers from Puerto Viejo. Both\u00a0French hosts of the lodge,\u00a0Maho D\u00edaz and\u00a0 and Nicolas Buffile\u00a0will try their best to make your vacation memorable.<\/span><\/p>\n

Activities:<\/h3>\n

\"shawandah-bungalow\"<\/a>People who want to enjoy water activities like scuba diving excursion or snorkeling adventure and want to enjoy closer look at the array of underwater species, they will enjoy all the activities while staying at the lodge. If you want to enjoy observing the unique biodiversity or glide over the coral reefs in a glass bottom boat, you can visit the Cahuita National Park. \u00a0And if you want to explore the richness and diversity of the jungle you can go for a canopy tour and enjoy the beautiful view from this adventure. This canopy\u00a0adventure has 9 aerial platforms and 14 on land with a total of 2560 meters of cable. While enjoying this canopy tour, you will also get the opportunity to enjoy bird watching. The surrounding area is also perfect for enjoying other adventure activities such as sea kayaking, butterfly farms, iguana farms, botanical gardens and also can visit local Indian reservations.<\/p>\n

Bungalows:<\/h3>\n

There are 14 tranquil jungle bungalows that are nestled amongst the living tropical rainforest,\u00a0show off a \u201cneo-primitive\u201d concept with an artistic combination of noble woods, bamboo and palm. You will find each bungalow different in style and character, including handcrafted furniture, a private bathroom and a fan. There are also a terrace with sofa and hammock with each room and there you can take rest as well as enjoy the incredible variety of trees, plants and flowers with so many vibrant colors and aromas and also enjoy listening the unique sounds from toucans or sudden howlers from the little “Congo” monkeys. This lodge is surrounded by beautiful nature and there is no T.V. and air conditioning at the bungalows which will help you to push away all the stress and tension.<\/p>\n

Restaurant:<\/h3>\n

In the lodge restaurant you can enjoy breakfast from\u00a07:30 am to 10:00 am. and in breakfast the restaurant offers\u00a0 fresh local fruits, eggs, home made bread and fresh juice or coffee. If you want to leave the lodge earlier and want to have a take away breakfast box, you can inform the restaurant the night before and collect the breakfast before leaving for your day activities. Under\u00a0the huge palmed roof of the Rancho that shelters the restaurant, you can enjoy your favorite cocktail at the evening and from\u00a06:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m at dinner time you will enjoy creative dishes with\u00a0 tropical flavors combined with french recipes. At this restaurant you will also enjoy some of the most refined cuisine in the Puerto Viejo area.<\/p>\n
