\"Korrigan<\/a><\/p>\n

Located on the Caribbean coast, south of Puerto Viejo in Punta Uva, nestled in the\u00a0 tropical forest within the remits of Manzanillo-Gandoca wildlife refuge,\u00a0Korrigan lodge\u00a0is a nice distance from Puerto Viejo \u2013 a location that is calm and quiet, but still within reach of the town\u2019s amenities. The surrounding area of the lodge is fully covered with hovering majestic century-old trees which are safe havens to different species of birds (toucans, hummingbirds, butterflies), animals (iguanas, sloths, monkeys) and flowers. If you take a walk on the\u00a0paved surface outside the lodge you will be amazed while listening to the\u00a0the chirping of birds, roars of animals and calmness in the beauty of nature.<\/p>\n

Way to the Lodge:<\/h3>\n

\"korrigan-lodge\"<\/a>For reaching the lodge, you can take public transport, private car or even a private van. If you have limited budget then you can take public buses that are inexpensive and efficient choice. From San Carlos in San Jose the bus departs. From San Jose the bus goes to\u00a0Manzanillo and then drives past to Korrigan lodge\u2019s entrance. You can request the bust driver to drop you off at Punta Uva bus stop. From this point the bus is still 150 meters ahead. After arriving Puerto Viejo, you can take a cab to reach the lodge. If you take a car avoid driving after 6 pm as it is risky to drive at night. You can rent a car from a car rental agent and take a road map too. If you drive\u00a0around 12pm you will also enjoy Costa Rica scenery. It will take approximately\u00a05 hours from San Jose via Braulio Carillo national park.\u00a0After a tunnel you will drive through a road that goes up and down the mountains and through the rainforest. When you will arrive in low lands, keep driving until you find the towns of\u00a0Guapiles, Guacimo and Siquirres. Drive past 60km from Siquirres and you will reach in Limon the provincial capital city. When you will pass the cemetery, turn to right from the signal and you will see signboards to Cahuita and also see palm trees and banana plantation. Then you will have to drive for ten minutes and turn to the left from single lane bridge. Then keep driving straight and you will pass through a gas station, cop stop,\u00a0 gate of Cahuita and Hone Creek crossroad and there\u00a0the road divides, take right to Bribri and head for Puerto Viejo. After passing\u00a0uerto Viejo, Punta Uva beach is 8km ahead, see on your right side the road leads to the final stop the entrance of Korrigan lodge.<\/p>\n

Facilities:<\/h3>\n

Korrigan lodge<\/a> offers\u00a0sanctuary to visitors in its four octagonal shaped bungalows named Dour, Avel, Heol and Koad.\u00a0These bungalows are elevated from the ground and privacy is the norm here. Each\u00a0bungalow comes with a front porch that is a nice spot to relax outdoors. In each bungalow there are comfortable high quality beds,\u00a0wooden furniture decorate the inside, and skylights let in natural light from overhead. In all bungalows there are bathroom with hot water facility and the bungalows also have\u00a0mosquito nets, and a hammock. You will also have\u00a0large towel\u00a0to use when lying out on the nearby beach. Each morning the guest are\u00a0served a complementary breakfast\u00a0that consists of fresh fruit, yogurt, granola, eggs, sausage\/bacon, fresh bread, and guava juice.<\/p>\n

Activities:<\/h3>\n

While staying at\u00a0Korrigan lodge you can enjoy water activities including\u00a0Snorkeling, kayaking, surfing and rafting. You can also go for hiking at the\u00a0 at wild life refuge Gandoca Manzanillo and Cahuita National park, bird-watching tour, Jaguar Rescue Center and Sloth Sanctuary. If you wish you can\u00a0visit to handmade chocolate factory, Afro-Caribbean cooking class and a visit to Talamanca farm. There are also the facilities to enjoy spa, massage,\u00a0yoga class and pedicure. You can also enjoy many other activities including\u00a0Canopy tours, Tortuguero canals tour, visit to Bocas del Toro island in Panama and horseback riding.<\/p>\n
