Located in the valley of Copey De Dota (heart of Los Santos Forest Reserve and home to Los Quetzales National Park and Cerro Las Vueltas Biological Reserve), this lodge is a Paradise for the birdwatchers as it has a direct access to an optimal bird watching habitat and over 200 species of birds are listed here. This lodge\u00a0is easily accessible, just one and a half hours south of San Jose. \u00a0\u00a0in the Cerro de la Muerte region part of the Talamanca mountain range. The temperature range from\u00a08\u00ba to 20\u00ba Celsius as this lodge sits at 1950 mts above the sea level. Surrounded by the exuberant cloud forest and\u00a0centennial oak trees, greens, moss, bromeliads will make the guest feel close to the nature. This lodge can hosts exclusivity small sized groups.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Rooms:<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In this lodge guests will enjoy comfortable spacious rooms with private bath including hot water, private terrace, large windows through which the guests will also enjoy the spectacular forest and farm views. These rooms also have Wi-Fi connection. There is a native garden which make the guest feel freshness even in the walkways to the rooms. There are two roomy junior suites that are very private and featured with\u00a0 king size bed, Jacuzzi, hot water, Wi-Fi, fireplace, coffee maker, small refrigerator, silverware, plates, also large windows that allow the guests to enjoy the amazing sunrise, rainbows and garden views. The lodge restaurant offers home made meals, typical costarican food, fresh baked trout the house specialty that are from a neighbor&#8217;s trout farm. All the meals are prepared with fresh product collected from the region. Guests can also ask for special diets.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Activities:<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The surroundings are offers plenty of opportunities to enjoy many types of different activities. The day starts early with\u00a0 sound of Spotted Wood Quails announcing first light, coffee produced from the region of Dota is on around 6:00am and guests who are early risers they can enjoy the coffee on the lodge terrace as well as enjoy the first birds of the day in nearby trees and gardens at the same time. Guests can join the daily free quetzal guided tour which start at 7:00 walking from the lodge in hunt\u00a0hunt for the Resplendent Quetzal and also many other species of birds.
