The Cloud Forest Lodge is a peaceful, quiet sanctuary in Monteverde, nestled on\u00a0about 70 acres of primary and secondary forest. Several natural reserves are close to the lodge that are home to several species of wild animals and birds. If you go for a nature walk you might spot\u00a0bare-necked umbrellabirds, three-toed sloths, howler monkeys, white-faced monkeys and many other animals. This area is also perfect for bird watchers as there are\u00a0some 180 species of birds. If you want to spend some time in tranquility, here it is.<\/p>\n

This clean and comfortable rooms also have\u00a0 a patio where you can that offers the amazing garden and forest view. All the rooms are painted with\u00a0 bright, earthy colors and decorated with wood panel covered ceiling and wall and tile floors that keep the room clean and cool. These rooms are equipped with\u00a0\u00a0single or double beds, and a private terrace from where you can enjoy the real mountain-hotel view. Though the rooms are simple but comfortable enough. In this lodge there are also handicap rooms that featured with bathrooms and ramps.<\/p>\n

Restaurant and Bar:<\/h4>\n

Monteverde Cloud Forest Lodge<\/a> has a restaurant that offers\u00a0delicious and carefully prepared Costa Rican-style meals including beef, chicken, fish, soups, salads, deserts and more. You can enjoy these delicious menus from\u00a0breakfast till dinner. The restaurant also offers special\u00a0homemade granola and bread. There is a bar with a variety of\u00a0national and foreign drinks and cocktail. While enjoying your favorite drink you can also enjoy amazing views of the nearby forest and\u00a0in the distance, the Gulf of Nicoya. Next to the restaurant, there you will find a reading area surrounded by\u00a0in the distance, the Gulf of Nicoya. You can sit there with your book, computer or family member and get cozy and\u00a0 lounge-away the afternoon.<\/p>\n

Activities:<\/h3>\n

The Original Canopy Tour<\/h4>\n

While staying at the lodge, you can get opportunity to enjoy the\u00a0Original Canopy Tour\u00a0with a short, guided hike through the private 70-acre reserve. You will also enjoy\u00a0exploring the beauty of the rainforest. This tour starts\u00a0at 7:30 am, 10:30 am and 2:30 pm and lasts\u00a0between 2 and 2.5 hours.<\/p>\n

Trails:<\/h4>\n

You can find\u00a0more than 180 species of birds in the lodge’s\u00a030 hectares (about 75 acres) of forest\u00a05 kms of private trails and while staying here you can also go for a trip to the butterfly and orchid gardens or the Monteverde Cheese Factory where you can also learn about the\u00a0region\u2019s cultural history and try a sampling of local cheeses and ice cream. If you go for a morning walk or night walk you can discover beautiful sights\u00a0experience, true magic of nature.<\/p>\n
