This eco lodge\u00a0is owned and managed by a local family, The Valverde Family, who originally hails from Monteverde. La Baula\u00a0Lodge is the ideal choice for the people who are\u00a0looking for a tranquil and picturesque escape with lovely views and fine amenities. In this place travelers will be able to explore the wildlife including howler monkeys, sloth, toucans, spider monkeys, parrots, trogons and other colorful tropical creatures.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The Lodge is focused on the respect, protection and conservation of the environment and of the flora and fauna of the area. It features an authentic Caribbean style, painted with bright colors that represents the culture of the area. How to reach the Lodge:<\/span><\/h3>\n

\"La-Baula-Lodge\"<\/span><\/a>For reaching the lodge there are several ways. You can choose between the cheapest and longest trip or the shortest and a little more expensive one. You can rent a car if you want to drive or can go by air which is the easiest and fastest way to get to Tortuguero. If you are running short of time or for 1 night visit, going by air is the best way. You can also go by public transportation which is\u00a0one of the most entertaining and likeable ways to make the trip. It is\u00a0the cheapest but the longest way to get to Tortuguero. When you will reach tortuguero village, you will have to take a water taxi\u00a0at the same place where the public boat drops you off and within 3 minutes you will reach the La Baula Lodge.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Rooms at La Baula Lodge:<\/span><\/h3>\n

La Baula Lodge offers extremely clean, airy and quite comfortable room with basic simple facilities. There are\u00a045 standard rooms with basic amenities like ceiling fans, private bathroom with hot water supply, reading lamps and terraces. Wall of the rooms are painted with strong and bright colors which is very common in the caribbean area. There are private bathroom in all the rooms and those bathrooms a hot water showers. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The Restaurant:<\/span><\/h3>\n

The restaurant of La Baula Lodge has a lovely set up with a great staff. It offers delicious meals including a wonderful buffet of Caribbean style cuisines and other regional dishes.
