Located in 5 acres of lush green rain forest, near Guapiles, with walking trails to a rustling river and incredible tropical gardens, Casa Rio Blanco Ecolodge is small but well visited ecolodge. Run by a Dutch family, is an ideal place for the adventure lover. This place was created for the people who want to enjoy and experience nature to the fullest in the New World. Rich in its diversity Casa Rio Blanco Ecolodge is\u00a0located 7 kms west of the town Gu\u00e1piles. On the\u00a0main highway towards Limon, you will see big yellow road sign of Casa Rio Blanco Ecolodge. This lodge situated just one hour East from San Jose and it takes only a easy one and half hour drive from the airport Juan Santamaria in San Jose.<\/span><\/p>\n

While staying here you will enjoy spending relaxed time viewing the sloths and toucans from your private porch. You can get information about plants, wildlife, insects and rainforests from the Casa Rio Blanco Eco Lodge’s small educational centre.You can enjoy the beautiful botanical garden sitting in the shady hammock area of the lodge. Bird watchers will find this place like a private paradise as 300 species of different birds are recorded here. There are three fresh water springs for delicious drinking water and secluded swimming hole in the lush rainforest.\u00a0Those who want a life-rain forest experience they will obviously like this place.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"Accommodation\"<\/span><\/a>In Casa Rio Blanco Ecolodge you will find a large main stone house and four wooden cabins with 2 guest bedrooms. Each house has their own bathroom, a lounge with a bar open to the stunning garden, a spacious entrance and a Costa Rican diningroom. Maximum 16 people can stay together at this lodge. While staying at the comfortable cabins with a private porch, you will be able to enjoy outstanding bird watching. Rooms are equipped with kingsize or queensize matresses and private bathrooms with hot water and all other facilities you need for complete comfort.<\/span><\/p>\n

The spacious stone house and cabins interior are very modern, tropical, warm and comfortable. It is designed in such a way that you will be able to enjoy all the sights and sounds of the b=nearby gardens, waterfall and jungle, with skylights for plenty of natural light. From the 4 lovely storybook cabins you will enjoy overlooking the canopy and the river. The bungalows are clean, comfortable and creatively decorated.<\/span><\/p>\n

You will also enjoy to visit\u00a0Braulio Carillo National Park,\u00a0features a primary rainforest area of 44.000 hectares. It is just 30 minutes from San Jos\u00e9. Here you will enjoy the\u00a0view of the river crossing of Rio Sucio and Rio Claro. You can also enjoy\u00a0Sarapique float trip. While enjoying the rafting trip, you will also enjoy\u00a0sugarcane fields, lush tropical jungle forests, and banana, cacao and oil palm plantations.
