Way to the lodge: If you want to go by air you can use one of the two domestic airlines SANSA or Nature Air that fly from San Jose to Golfito or to Puerto Jimenez and it will take 45-50 minutes to an hour. After reaching Golfito or Puerto Jimenez you will find cab available. By using cab you can reach the restaurant Samoa del Sur for the boat transfer, which is along the scenic coastline to the lodge site on Playa San Josecito. And if you go to the Puerto Jimenez, from the docks at the public harbor you can hire a boat directly to Golfo Dulce Lodge. It takes about 30 minutes of boat ride either from Golfito or Puerto Jimenez to the lodge. If you drive private vehicle, it will take 7 hours from San Jose to Golfito. As the Golfo Dulce Lodge is nestled in a remote location and accessible only by a boat ride, you will have to head to Samoa del Sur restaurant where you will get the lodge boat but only on a pre-set time schedule.You can also use public bus transport departs from San Jose to Golfito and the journey duration will be 4 to 7 hours. Accommodation: Golfo Dulce Eco Lodge offers two categories accommodation-Deluxe and Standard. Deluxe category include bungalows which are constructed from wooden pieces well-furnished containing all the necessary amenities for daily needs such as warm water, shower, toilet. There is a large private veranda with rocking chair and hammock. From the resting area of the veranda guests can enjoy the jungle view or the small freshwater pool view. The standard ones comprise of the same but lesser in space. For the immediate guests or customers who walk in after a swaying boat ride, there are restrooms. Restaurant: The restaurant of the lodge are decorated beautifully with bamboo rods for covering the ceiling. Delicious meals prepared from natural ingredients are served by the restaurant.
