celeste mountain lodge

Located in the pristine surroundings of Volcan Tenorio, Celeste Mountain Lodge is tucked away from the beaten tourist track while still being convenient accessible. The low-key mountain top lodge is encircled by primary tropical rainforest reserves and the thriving National Park Volcan Tenorio. Celeste Mountain Lodge offers its guests a contemporary ambiance along with a philosophy of responsible tourism and authentic Costa Rican hospitality. A blend of friendly service with comfortable amenities, the lodge brings together the best of rustic charm with relaxed holidaying. The virtually untouched greenbelt around the lodge along with its refined simplicity and environmentally conscious detailing makes Celeste Mountain a good stay option. Completely designed according to bio-climatic specifications, the lodge also offers stunning views of the Tenorio and Miravalles volcanoes.

Activities and Amenities

Celeste Mountain Lodge’s deceptively unassuming countenance hides a plethora of action packed nature and adventure centric activities. The lodge organizes several excursions and tours such as the Celeste Trail (enjoy an hour ad half of hiking along the verdant ravines, which are home to innumerable bird species, butterflies, monkeys and indigenous trees), a trip to Rio Celeste/ National Park Volcan Tenorio (guests can enjoy a stunning blue lagoon and hot spring bath at the end of the trail), horseback riding, cycling and hiking around the Bijagua area. The more intrepid visitors can head for a rafting sojourn on the Rio Tenorio, while the comparatively less courageous beings can seek their vacation ‘nirvana’ by floating on the unruffled Corobici River. Look out for the spectacular river, lagoons and conservation area of the National Fauna Sanctuary by embarking on an exciting boat ride. Culture buffs can be fed a staple diet of exotic local crafts and traditions at Guatuso (local Maleku Indian communities settlement).

Celeste Mountain’s in house amenities include a restaurant (featuring panoramic views and serving “Tica-Fusion” cuisine), a bar (with terrace), relaxing tropical hot baths amidst enclosed gardens, a reading area (that opens into the garden) and a Joelette (special seat for guests with reduced mobility.
