Río Magnolia Nature Lodge

Located between Manuel Antonio Park and the Osa Peninsula, the Rio Magnolia Nature Lodge nestled some 12 miles (20 km) from the coast. This lodge is perched atop a hillside that overlooks both the ocean and rain forest. While staying at this luxurious lodge, you will enjoy the best of both worlds, venturing out on adventures during the day and returning to the lodge to get relaxed at night.

Rio Magnolia Nature Lodge accommodations lack nothing in terms of comfort and consist of private, well-equipped rooms. Each of the room has a ceiling fan and large windows through which you will enjoy expansive views of the jungle and the ocean. Featured with queen size bed with soft white linens and cozy duvets, private bathroom with hot water supply, all the rooms are really clean and comfortable. While taking shower you will enjoy the view of nearby rain forest and in the bathroom you will also get shampoo and liquid soap in refillable bottles. There are private terraces that provide a place to take it all in. This lodge offers relatively small number of rooms that means you will find the environment tranquil. 

Food:

While staying in Rio Magnolia Nature Lodge, you will start your day with a complementary breakfast and you can also choose local fruit, yogurt and granola, banana pancakes, bacon and eggs, omelets, and even huevos rancheros. This lodge has its own coffee plantation it serves fresh coffee. During lunch it offers a slightly smaller but delicious. You can enjoy a pre-dinner drink and complementary appetizer at the evening and enjoy the beautiful sunset view from the terrace. Each day you will find different dinner menu consists of three course meal. If you have any food allergy or other dietary restrictions, the lodge restaurant can serve your preferred dish.

Activities:

Adventure love will find a plenty of options to enjoy here. It will really enjoyable to head out on hiking trails that wind through the 280 acre property and one of which leads to a wonderful waterfall. You can also enjoy afternoon soaking in the infinity swimming pool. For enjoying hiking, you can take help from a guide and also for exploring the wild animals, different species of birds and insects. If you want to learn how coffee is grown and processed, you can go for a tour to the onsite coffee plantation. If you wish you can also visit the lodge’s own small hydroelectric plant that produces all the power for the lodge. And any one has interest in volunteer task, they can plant trees on the property.

Rio Magnolia Nature Lodge is committed to maintain sustainability and its entire property, 220 acres are protected primary and secondary forest. With this mission the lodge is beginning a reforestation program to plant 8 acres of pasture with various species of indigenous trees. From a small hydroelectric dam all the power is produced for the entire lodge.
