Amenities and Activities

Hacienda Tayutic organizes several nature and adventure based activities to keep their guests on their toes. The action ranges from canyoning tours held at a private reservation to mountain biking through CATIE’s plantations (guided tour that also includes a visit to the tropical botanical garden) to horse backing through the tropical rainforests, while witnessing the beauty of the surrounding mountains and valleys. Other activities put together by Hacienda include canopy tours (where visitors will zip through tree tops to enjoy an aerial view of the country’s famous rainforest landscape), a trip to the famous archeological attraction of Costa Rica- Guayabo’s National Monument and kayaking at the Pejibaye river. A trip to the surreal vivarium (where you can experience a variety of tropical plants, birds and freely flying butterflies in a surreal looking ambiance), rafting on the Pacuare and Pejibare and a visit to the Serpentarium are some additional options that guests can enjoy.

Accommodation

The “hotel guest house” as they prefer to call it is more a relaxed Caribbean style plantation wooded home designed using local rural colonial architectural detailing. The hotel is a spacious, intimate and elegant property which has strong foundations in the owner family’s rich legacy that dates as far back as the XVIII century. This doesn’t however spell reduced comforts and amenities for guests.

Rates

The high season rates lodging rates per night is $ 325 USD and $ 2,300 USD per room and for the entire lodge respectively. All inclusive high season rates are $ 385 USD for a single room per night. This includes breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks during the day.
