Tiskita Jungle Lodge

Tiskita Jungle Lodge is an ecolodge perfect for the adventure lovers and the people who want to enjoy a vacation close to the nature as well as to enjoy all the comforts. Located at the end of the road on the secluded southwest coast of Costa Rica, near Panama, this eco lodge is surrounded by jungle with wonderful plantings to supports a wide variety of animals and birds. This is one of the first eco lodges of Costa Rica, owned by Peter Aspinall, his wife Lisbeth, and their children.

Accommodation:

There are nine private cabins including 17 rooms. Each of the cabin include bathroom with hot water, orthopedic mattresses, ceiling fan, shaded deck, screened-in room, lounging chairs and hammocks. You can enjoy the ocean view from each cabin. It also offers single room for the couples and there is a room especially designed where the parents can stay at a separate room with their children at the next door. The cabin interior has been done with natural touch and the woods was collected over the years mostly from trees that fell down in Tiskita. The cabins spread out around the lodge and those will ensure the guest’s privacy. You can reach the rainforest and the beach with just a few minutes walk. The swimming pool is located directly by the lodge.

Dining area and Bar:

In this lodge has an open air dining area which also has ceiling fans. Near to the swimming pool there is a self service bar which is connected to the lodge. While staying at this lodge, you can enjoy both traditional Costa Rican and Western dishes as well as vegetarian dish. It also offers tropical fruit juice, filtered water, coffee, tea, hot chocolate milk.

Activities:

Horseback Riding:

This lodge offers horseback riding and you will have the Tiskita’s own horses and guided horseback riding. Tiskita’s horseback riding guide Paulo will help you to spot monkeys, sloths, macaws, or other wildlife along the way.

Nature Walks:

People who are nature lovers, they can go for a nature walk and explore the beauty of the rainforest as well as the wild life. You will be accompanied by Tiskita’s experienced guides who will help you to spot wildlife and explore the real nature of Costa Rica.

Yoga:

Tiskita Eco lodge has partnered with Hari-Om Yoga School in Italy which tries to explain that everything can be Yoga. You can join the Yoga teacher training program offered by the lodge. Yoga program is held on the lodge yoga deck which is surrounded by beautiful trees which will also let you enjoy the ocean view through the gaps. Yoga sessions are guided by the experienced yoga teachers Ben, Sally and Jun-Lee.

Facilities of the Tiskita lodge also includes a library, lawn, games area, waterfall and fresh water pool and also a gift shop. It also offers many types of other activities including surfing, boat tour, beach and snorkeling, and night tour.
