Activities and Amenities

Guests can enjoy a host of activities from exploring the backwater lagoons of the pristine rainforest (by boat riding with an expert Naturalist) to embarking on private turtle expeditions during the peak hatching season. Other activities around the area involve natural history boating tours, fishing tours and surrounding village tours. There a free guided 6am walk with a knowledgeable Tortuguero naturalist guide for early risers. Lookout out for the forest’s famous howler money troops and poison dart frogs at daybreak or late afternoon.

Tortuga also houses a pretty pool, cleverly built along the water’s edge to give an illusion of the water blending into the Tortuguero prime canal water.

Tortuga Lodge’s in-house riverside restaurant offers hearty fixed menu meals, which are made using the freshest local ingredients and served family style (complete with white linen and candle-lit riverside tables) rather than as a buffet service.

Every room comes equipped with a private bath (with a solar heated shower), free wireless internet, a ceiling fan and in-room safe along with some other basic amenities. The Tortuga Lodge Penthouse Suite comes with a three quarter porch which flaunts views of the adjoining Tortuguero River, a king bed (with private master bath), a queen bed with an independent private bath, solar heated warm water, wireless internet, a private balcony overlooking the surrounding rainforest and front porch (featuring a hammock and seating area).

Rates

The high season rate for a Deluxe room on a single and double occupancy arrangement is $ 138 USD/per night. Deluxe Room with breakfast and dinner is available for $ 173 USD/ per person per night and $ 104 USD/per person per night on single occupancy and double occupancy respectively during high season. Similarly high season Deluxe Rooms with breakfast, lunch and dinner are priced at $ 188 USD and $ 119 USD (per person per night) for single and double occupancy respectively.

In addition to this, there are customized specialty packages such as the 3 days/2 nights Tortuguero Jingle Odyssey package that includes transportation (one way by domestic flight and one way via bus and boat), two nights accommodation at the lodge, one-time boat excursion, park entrance fees, specified meals, specified services of guides and taxes.
